Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Translator LED (the “App”). By ticking the box at first launch, or by actually using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted all of these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
1. The service
Translator LED provides real-time voice translation, text translation, read-aloud (TTS) and large-text / danmaku display. Translations are produced by third-party AI models and may contain errors. They are a communication aid only, and must not be the sole basis for legal, medical or financial decisions.
The App requires no account. Devices are distinguished by an anonymous identifier generated locally on your device.
2. Your responsibilities
Before recording or translating anything, you must obtain any consent required from the people present and comply with the law where you are. This matters most when Listen mode is used to capture a meeting, negotiation, lecture or performance. In that situation you are responsible for making sure that the organiser and the participants agree, that the content is not something you are legally barred from recording or transmitting, and that you have met the confidentiality obligations that apply to the venue or the industry.
You must not use the App to create or spread unlawful content, or content that infringes the rights of others. You must not bypass usage limits, mass-register anonymous identifiers, or otherwise abuse the service by automated means. We may limit or stop providing the service to devices that do.
You are responsible for the consequences of your own use of the App.
3. Machine translation: quality and limits
Accuracy drops noticeably with technical terminology, dialects, accents, several people speaking at once, and noisy environments. We make no guarantee about the completeness, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose of any translation, and we are not liable for decisions you take in reliance on one. For contracts, medical or legal matters, confirm the wording with a human being or a professional translator.
4. Free quota and fair use
Free users can use the basic translation features, but voice translation and text translation are subject to a daily usage limit, and read-aloud is a membership feature. See the Membership Service Agreement for details.
5. Membership
Paid membership is governed by the separate Membership Service Agreement, which forms part of these Terms.
6. Using the App on site
- Keep the volume, including read-aloud, at a level that does not disturb the people around you.
- Continuous listening uses mobile data and battery.
- Noisy rooms reduce recognition quality; move closer to the speaker or use an external microphone.
- We are not responsible for device heat, battery drain or network interruptions in the environment where you use the App.
7. Third-party services, availability and disclaimer
The App relies on third-party cloud services (including Alibaba Cloud) for translation and speech synthesis. We are not liable for interruption or delay caused by network problems, third-party service failures, force majeure or system maintenance, but we will make reasonable efforts to restore service. The App is provided “as is”, and we disclaim all express or implied warranties to the extent permitted by law.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its design and its marks belong to us or our licensors; these Terms do not transfer any of that to you. You keep ownership of the content you enter, and grant us only the limited licence needed to process it in order to provide the service you asked for.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The updated version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the App means you accept the update.
